About DVAC

Founded in November 1971 Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. (DVAC) is proud to be the only 100% volunteer ambulance service in Schenectady County and one of the few remaining in New York's Capital District. We are your neighbors, co-workers, family and friends on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Everyday ambulances A-930 and A-933 are ready for any emergency in our response area of Duanesburg and parts of Knox and Princetown.

DVAC also provides mutual aid to surrounding communities and across the state when needed, responding to incidents as far away as Ground Zero on 9-11-01. Our crews also provide stand-by support for various sporting events in town and fire scene support for our four fire departments.

Remember, it is better to give than to receive ~ especially when it comes to emergency medical services! New members are always needed and New York State EMT-B training is provided to members at no charge. You never know when your training from DVAC may save a family member.
